Announcing the 2016 Performance Grant Winners

We were thrilled by the number of applications we’ve received this year – and the diverse range of programming ideas!  It is always energizing to hear about the good work being done by ensembles across the country, and the amazing partnerships and collaborations that are being created to highlight not only the value of the arts, but the value of diversity in the arts. After some tough decision making, the judges – made up of the WPA Board of Directors – awarded funding to 33 professional, community, and student ensembles from across the country.  Congratulations to all of the winners…

WPA Performance Grant Applications now LIVE

We are thrilled to once again offer funding through Performance Grants – supporting performances of works by women composers by American orchestras. The goal of these grants, first established in 2012, has been to encourage future performances of works by historic and contemporary women composers.  Any American orchestra – community, professional, or youth – is welcome to apply. This year we are also excited to be offering two application periods.  The first will be in Fall 2016 (with applications due October 14) for performances taking place in 2017 and/or 2018.  The second will be in Spring 2017 for performances taking…
