There was a lot of great news over the weekend – time to catch up for the week ahead!

Great news for Jessy McCabe and everyone who signed the Change.org petition to include works by women composers in the Edexcel curriculum – change is coming!  McCabe received a personal apology from Mark Anderson, Managing Director of Edexcel.  Read more here.

We wrote a while back about the conducting course that Alice Farnham is leading in the UK to mentor young women interested in finding their place on the podium.  Farnham wrote an editorial this week at The Guardian about the importance of this work.

New Music Box featured an interview with composer Carolyn O’Brien who discussed her experience with creativity and depression.
