What a thrill that Florence Price’s music continues to receive more performances! The Metropolitan Youth Symphony (Portland, OR) plays her Symphony No. 1 and Dances in the Canebreaks on May 21, together with a new work by young Portland composer Katie Palka that reflects on Price.  Story here in the Oregon Artswatch.
