Marianna Martines.

Marianne Martines (1744-1812), born in Vienna, was an Austrian composer from a family of Spanish origin. Her early education was supervised by family friend and court poet, Pietro Metastasio, and later continued with musical studies in voice, piano and composition with Porpora, Giusseppe Bonno and the young and yet unknown Joseph Haydn. Martines, who began composing at the age of 12, wrote over 200 works of
which some 70 are still in existence in libraries in Europe, including this Sinfonia, an overture, three harpsichord concerti, several masses and numerous keyboard and vocal works. Elected to the Musical Academy of Bologna in 1773, Martines later founded a singing school and was known for the weekly musical soirees she held in her home which attracted all the major artists in Vienna at the time. It seems on some of these occasions that she and Wolfgang Mozart teamed up for performances of works for four-handed piano.
