The BBC announced this week that they will be opening up their classical music archives. The trove of recordings – dating back 100 years – will be available online and through a BBC app. I’m looking forward to sifting through the catalog and finding recordings of works by the Boulanger sisters, Ethel Smyth, Rebecca Clarke – and undoubtedly many more! Billboard reports that the Recording Academy has taken action on the calls for diversity and invited 900 women and people of color to vote on this year’s Grammy awards.
